Each January, thousands of Hollywood’s film elite descend upon Sundance and Park City for Redford’s Sundance Film Festival, which is the largest independent film festival in the US. Sundance is surrounded by 5000 acres of wilderness and may feel like a million miles away, but really its very conveniently located. Salt Lake City is just an hour away by car, and Park City is just 45 minutes away. Shuttles, taxis, and cars will take you right to the house. You can rent a car also. More Info |

As soon as you hit the slopes, you’ll see what all the fuss is about. Downhill skiing and snowboarding are of course the most popular activities, but cross-country skiing is also available. The resort has 41 runs spread over 500 acres of skiable land. It’s truly a skier’s dream come true.

Sundance is largely known as a winter wonderland, but it’s a magical place to visit throughout the year. The resort maintains its place as a cultural and artistic center in Utah, and when the snows melt, beautiful green mountains and meadows are revealed. Come in the summer and fall for beautiful hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, horseback riding, and scenic lift rides through the wilderness.

Sundance is magical year round, but Christmas and the Sundance Film Festival in January are two especially exciting times to be at the resort. The Sundance Film Festival is a huge event that is mostly based in Park City, but Sundance is the namesake and home base for many of the festival’s participants. The resort is absolutely abuzz during the festival. And Christmas week is something else at Sundance; it’s sure to be a beautiful, old-fashioned, white Christmas.
