Christmas and the Sundance Film Festival, which takes place in January, are two of the most popular times to visit Sundance. The resort is alive and abuzz at these times with revelers, stars, and big shots. But, especially during the Film Festival, you might be pleasantly surprised to find the rooms booked but the slopes bare! The resort is a magical place and anyone will have a lovely time no matter what time of year, but if you’re looking for a quieter experience when venturing into town, December and January should certainly be avoided.
